What Fable Is

Fable is an AI roleplaying app that allows users to chat with fictional characters and create stories. The app does not require personal information to function and aims to respect user privacy by default.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary for authentication:

• Email address: Collected only for authentication via Apple Sign-In.
• Name (optional): May be provided by Apple if you choose not to use anonymous sign-in.

We do not collect, store, or track messages, location data, or device identifiers. The Apple Sign-In process is handled securely by Apple, and we only receive the limited information they share.

Data Storage and Retention

Email addresses (and names if applicable) are stored only as long as needed for account access and authentication. We do not engage in unnecessary data logging, analytics, or profiling.

Your data can be deleted upon request or when you delete your account.

How We Use Your Data

Your information is used exclusively for:

• Sign-in and account management
• App functionality

Your data is never sold, shared, or rented to third parties. We do not use it for advertising or behavioral tracking.

Anonymous Mode

You can choose "Sign in with Apple (Hide My Email)" for complete anonymity. When this option is used, we receive a proxy email address, and no name or real email is visible to us.

Using anonymous mode does not reduce app functionality in any way.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Fable:

• Apple: For Sign-In authentication
• Hosting providers: For secure backend operations

These providers may have their own privacy policies. We do not share personal data beyond what's strictly necessary for app operations.

Data Security

All data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored in secure, access-controlled environments. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete or request your data
• Understand what information is stored about you (which is minimal)

Children's Privacy

Fable is not targeted at children under 13 years of age (or 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
